Empowering Those In the Field
Local and regional municipalities, and NGOs, are struggling to maintain their parks and forest lands due to a lack of funding and material resources. Your support empowers us to support foresters via two programs:
Provide Tools, Training and Trees for foresters who can make a difference in their local communities. Our legwork and relationships ensure that your donation is being allocated where it can truly make a difference, especially within underserved communities who typically lack the funding to keep their public parks and lands healthy, safe and accessible. We will also consider providing reasonable stipends for foresters where the need exists.
Forester scholarships. With your help, we can educate a new generation of foresters by providing mini scholarships to women, minorities and others of underserved and underrepresented communities enrolled in forestry degree or certificate programs at accredited universities and colleges. With your support, we’ll provide scholarships of $500 to $2,500, in addition to tools and support gear that foresters need during their field training. Our goal is to help at least 25 people become foresters or to enhance their forestry skills.
Properly Trained and equipped foresters are essential for creating and/or maintaining healthy green spaces that everybody can enjoy and benefit from. Please make a donation today to provide opportunity for foresters from underserved and underrepresented communities. When you click below, you’ll be taken to a PayPal donation page where you can choose to make a general donation, or one to a specific program.
